Terms & Conditions
By using CertHound's website, agent software, and cloud services ("Services"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use our Services.
Accounts and Security
You must be at least 18 years old to use CertHound. Provide accurate information when registering and keep your credentials secure. You're responsible for all activity under your account.
Using CertHound
The CertHound agent is open-source software provided under its respective license. The cloud dashboard and API are proprietary services provided by DeadboltHQ. Don't use CertHound for illegal activities, attempt to reverse-engineer the cloud platform, access others' accounts, or interfere with our Services.
Open-Source Agent
The CertHound discovery agent is licensed separately under its open-source license available on GitHub. These Terms primarily govern the cloud dashboard, API, and paid services.
Payment
Paid plans (Team, Enterprise) are billed monthly or annually. Payments are non-refundable except as required by law. We may change prices with 30 days' notice. The Starter plan is free and does not require payment information.
Your Data
You own your data. Certificate inventory data collected by the agent is transmitted to our cloud platform solely to provide monitoring and alerting services. We do not sell or share your certificate data with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Intellectual Property
CertHound cloud platform and its content are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The open-source agent is governed by its own license.
Termination
You can stop using CertHound anytime. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if required by law. We'll retain your data for 30 days after termination.
Disclaimers
Services are provided "as is" without warranties. While we strive for high availability, we aren't liable for service interruptions or missed certificate expiration alerts. To the extent permitted by law, DeadboltHQ won't be liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms. If changes are material, we'll notify you via email or in-dashboard notice. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.
